Daniel Enkaoua
Daniel Enkaoua was born in France, 1962, and moved to Israel in 1981, abandoning religious studies for painting. There is an almost religious intensity in his painted images. His subjects are still life, landscape and the figure.
Finely painted, they are like pictures of things that have been considered for a very long time. He describes his images as things that are 'neither thought nor premeditated'. They are felt. I am led by the painting's need.'
