The Female Gaze

Mokum Women Artists 29 May - 27 Jun 2021 The Female Gaze is a term used in recent years to describe art that subverts the ubiquitous male perspective. But is there such a thing as a ‘male’ or ‘female’ gaze? Does a female painter create different artworks than a male painter? One thing is certain: we will only be able to identify such a female gaze and contribute to a more diverse range of perspectives if we devote attention to women painters. Summer Group Show
