The Female Gaze is a term used in recent years to describe art that subverts the ubiquitous male perspective. But is there such a thing as a ‘male’ or ‘female’ gaze? Does a female painter create different artworks than a male painter? One thing is certain: we will only be able to identify such a female gaze and contribute to a more diverse range of perspectives if we devote attention to women painters. This group show is an homage to our women artists and their views on this subject. Our walls will be exclusively theirs and filled with new and inspiring artworks!
