The Female Gaze: Opening Friday April 25
The Female Gaze challenges the long-standing dominance of the male perspective in art. It invites us to consider how visual media can reflect a female viewpoint and reshape our understanding of representation. But does a distinctly female gaze exist? How can an artwork embody it? And is it simply defined by the artist’s gender? One thing remains clear: by focusing on women artists, we continue to expand and diversify the narratives in contemporary art.
For this third edition, we are showcasing 10 figurative artists who depict the world around them through a lens that is both personal and profound. Their work offers a powerful counterpoint to traditional representations, affirming the richness of artistic expression through a female lens.
Welcome to the third edition of The Female Gaze!
