Pepe Baena Nieto

Pepe Baena Nieto (Cádiz, 1979) Lives and works in Cádiz. His work focuses on contemporary figurative painting, addressing everyday scenes, portraits, and still lifes linked to his immediate surroundings. Family, friends, and familiar places become pictorial subjects viewed through a direct, unadorned gaze, in which gesture and materiality play a fundamental role. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain and Europe and has been recognized in various national competitions, including the Antonio López Ciudad de Tomelloso Painting Prize. His work is held in public and institutional collections.
