Joseba Sánchez Zabaleta (1970, Spain) studied Art and Design in San Sebastian, but as a painter he is a real autodidact. Zabaleta has been painting from a young age. He learned everything out of books, observations and daily experience. He used to paint landscapes, but nowadays he mostly paints objects, abandoned places and peripheries of the city. This change can be declared by the fact that he got inspired by the city Madrid and you can see this in his work.
